The Congress

Unmasking Cyber Threats (UCT) is a national cybersecurity congress organized by the IEEE Computer Science Chapter at ISIMA. Now in its second edition, UCT gathers students, professionals, and industry experts for two days of deep technical content, competitions, and high-value networking.

The event runs a parallel CTF competition and technical challenge alongside a curated round table bringing prominent domain experts — a rare opportunity to learn, compete, and build your network in one place.

FAQ

UCT is open to all university students in Tunisia, regardless of major. You don't need to be a CS student — curiosity about cybersecurity is enough. IEEE membership is encouraged but not mandatory.
Yes. The CTF is designed with multiple difficulty levels, from introductory challenges accessible to beginners all the way to advanced flags for experienced players. The pre-event training program also prepares you to play.
The CTF runs from late Day 1 through the morning of Day 2. The venue stays open overnight with food, drinks, and power infrastructure provided. A safety and logistics checklist is prepared by the organizing team to ensure a comfortable experience.
Teams are recommended (2–4 people), but you can register solo and we'll help you find teammates. Team formation details will be shared after registration.
UCT ambassadors represent the congress within their university or club, drive registrations, and stay connected with the organizing team. Contact us via email or social media and mention your school — we'll share the ambassador brief.
Before the congress, the IEEE CS Chapter ISIMA will launch a free cybersecurity & CTF training series running through the summer. Sessions cover networking, Linux, web security, crypto, and more. Open to all — follow our social media for announcements.
